Podcast: BLUE-AIR and OIS-AIR projects in the Adriatic and Ionian regions

Ois Air and Blue Air are two ambitious projects that are revolutionising the approach to air protection and environmental sustainability in the Adriatic and Ionian region. In this episode, we dive into the details of this transnational collaborative effort, exploring its objectives and the impact it has had on the communities involved.

The OIS-AIR project, which ended in 2020, was a key catalyst for the development and consolidation of technology transfer activities in the Adriatic-Ionian region.

Through the cooperation of six countries, including Italy (with the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Basilicata regions), Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Albania and Greece, the primary objective was to foster the exchange of knowledge and resources between institutions and small businesses.

From this solid experience was born Blue Air, an initiative that is a natural continuation of the work carried out by OIS-AIR, focusing exclusively on the Blue Economy. Involving eleven partners from eight countries in the Adriatic Ionian region, Blue Air aims to enhance innovation capacities in the context of the Blue Economy and provide tools for local stakeholders to improve their smart specialisation strategies.

In conclusion, the ecosystem of these projects demonstrates a concrete and tangible commitment to sustainable development and the promotion of innovation within the blue economy, thus helping to shape a more resilient and prosperous future for the Adriatic Ionian region.
